The Quaero Group – Website Introduction Video
The Quaero Group is a premiere Executive and Legal search firm in Denver. I was commissioned to create a short introduction video for their recently launched web site, where Patrick Moya (President and Principal of the Quaero Group) describes some of the company’s services.
We shot this video at The Old Studio, utilizing the white infinity backdrop in the Yin-Yang room. I have previously shot some filmmaker interviews for Fresh Film News during an open house party there, but this was the first client-commissioned project that I filmed at that location; hopefully – one of many more to come!

Rockley Music Center (Yelp video)

New videos for LockState: Remote Lock
Here are a couple more videos I recently produced for LockState, a Denver-based company that makes remote-controlled door locks and other high-tech home security products. I also have a cameo at approximately 2:30 in the first video. Though, if you ask me, I probably shouldn’t consider switching my career from the back to the front of the camera just yet!
One of the cool things about this project is that it was the first time I had worked with a green screen for a client-commissioned video. I’ve worked as an AC or camera operator on film and music video shoots where a green screen was used, but I never served as the actual editor or green screen compositor on those projects. So, it was a fun learning experience to work on the opening sequence in this video, where a door opens and you see a grid of video screens behind it.
We set up a makeshift green screen behind a door at LockState offices and I filmed the door opening, revealing the green screen behind it. In Final Cut Pro, I created a grid of video segments from scratch (there may have been an easier way to do it with a specialized plugin of some sort, but I didn’t have time or the resources to look for one), which I then composited into the green screen portion of the shot using the Chroma Key tool. It looks like a relatively simple shot in the video, but it took me a while to get it right.

Promotional video for Zeetfleet Professional Cleaning Services in Fort Collins, CO (produced for DataSphere). The owner of the house where we shot the video had a last-minute change of plans and wasn’t available for filming, so the client asked me if I could step in and play the customer. I agreed, though I must say – I feel much more comfortable behind the camera :)
